Local name: Bawing (Mandaya), Solasi (Tagalog)
Indication: For high blood (use as an ingredient in cooking), ilamas sa gulay
Plant part used: Leaves and bulb
Method of Preparation: Decoction-Harvest a handful of bawing. Chop leaves with its bulb into smaller pieces. Boil in 3 glasses of water.
Direction for use: Drink the decoction especially when there is an increase in blood pressure. The boiled leaves could be eaten too by the patient.
Additional information: The bawing leaves and bulb are used as an ingredient in cooking. The patient must continue taking the herb to get its maximun efficacy.
