Local name: Bayabas (Tagabawa, Tagalog, Bisaya)
Indication: For sinnat (Tagabawa)
Plant part used: Young leaves
Method of Preparation: Infusion- Boil 3 pieces of young leaves (linghod) of bayabas in 1 glass of water, add 2 pinches of salt, wait until it boils.
Direction for use: Take the infusion as prescribed by the healer: Children- 1 tbsp. 3 x a day, Adult-1 glass, divided into 3 parts, 1 glass should be consumed within one day. Drink until affliction is gone.
Additional information: Sinnat is commonly translated into English as relapse. Usually described as a condition where in a person recovered from an ilness then suddenly gets sick again shortly after. Sinnat also refers as bughat in Bisaya and binat in Tagalog.
