It's evenly pinnate compund leaves are 6 to 10 cm long, with 20 to 40 equilateral leaflets with blunt tips.
Inflouresence & flowers:
Pale yellow, pink veined flowers with petals less than 1 cm long are borne on axillary racemes or panicles 5 to 10 cm long.
Fruits:
The pods are 6 to 15 cm long, 2 to 3 cm wide aand slightly flattened and curved. When ripe, the indehiscent pods have thin, brittle shells enclosing a dark brown, sticky , pulpy mesocarp with a sweet-sour flavor.
Seeds:
Hard, shiny, dark brown, disk shaped or squarish seeds are embedded in the pulp.
Additional info:
Planted as a shade tree, an ornamental for windbreaks, firebreaks, and as overstory in agricultural lands.
