- They are no tool used for diagnosis. The healer can diagnose the condition just by looking at the patient. The victim is seen to be out of her/his mind, has a blunt affect and seems unaware of his/her surrounding. Only the baylan has the antidote to counter act the effects of gayuma.
- Management:
- The plant buwas (Talaingod manobo) is employed by the baylan. The procedure to counteract the gayuma is a secret of the baylan. It is not allowed to be disclosed.
