Local name: 1 Luy-a (Bisaya), Luya (Tagalog) 2 Katumbal (Bisaya), Sili (Tagalog)
Indication: For menit e lawa (Tagabawa), kalintura (Bisaya)
Plant part used: 1 Rhizome 2 Mature leaves, and alcohol
Method of Preparation: Tincture-Prepare the mature leaves of the sili, the rhizome of the ginger, then pound them until juice comes out. Soak the prepared parts in an alcohol-filled bottle.
Direction for use: Apply the tincture on the body of the patient.
Additional information: Fever is the English term for the Tagabawa word "menit e lawa ".
